Highlights: Millions lawsuit against candy giant: "Chocolate doesn't have mouth and eyes like in a wrapper" | Israel Hayom. An angry customer from the US filed a class action lawsuit against Hershey. The reason: Reese's snacks issued by the sweets maker during the holidays did not match what was displayed on the packaging. How much is the aggravation worth? It turns out that no less than five million dollars. "Sorry, the ghost and chocolate pumpkin I bought don't have mouths and eyes, and the football ball looks like an egg. That's why I'll ask for a good few million in damages, thank you," an American woman explains why she's suing candy giant Hershey for cheating and deception. She argues that the special Halloween editions of the company's Reese's sweets — those chocolate-covered peanut butter bars — are misleading consumers.

It should be noted that Hershey's or Hershey's is the largest chocolate manufacturer in North America and one of the oldest chocolate manufacturers in the United States. According to Cynthia Kelly, a Florida resident, the snack packages and their contents do not match the chocolate found in them, causing her great distress.

For example, on the packaging of a creepy but smiling pumpkin-shaped snack released by the company in honor of the last Halloween, it clearly appears that the pumpkin has eyes and a mouth. However, these two vital organs did not exist on the chocolate itself, as can be seen in the photograph provided by the prosecution.

It turns out that the senses of sight and smell of the white chocolate-covered ghost were also taken from her without warning, while the chocolate football ball, as mentioned, actually reminded the plaintiff of a brown egg (the kind in a hamin, perhaps?) - because it lacked a lanyard as shown in the picture.

"Hershey's product packaging is substantially misleading, and many consumers have been misled by the images on the covers," the class action lawsuit states. "The covers of several Reese's peanut butter products feature different artistic cuts, but there are no such cuts on the products themselves."

Kelly claims she wouldn't have purchased the smiling pumpkins last October if she hadn't known they were, well, not really smiling. The lawsuit also points the finger at bats, snowmen, bells and other products.

So how much is this terrible aggravation worth? It turns out that no less than five million dollars, which Mrs. Kelly is demanding as part of the lawsuit. Hershey has not yet received a response, but it should be noted that the lawyer representing the hurt and angry consumer has sued chains such as Burger King and Taco Bell in the past, claiming, you guessed it, that the products they market look much less enticing in reality than in advertisements.
