Sergeant Amir Lavi and Capt. Amir Tzur, both residents of Jerusalem, fell on October 7. Lavi in battles at the Sufa and Tyre outposts during the battles for the rescue and rescue of members of Kibbutz Kfar Azza. A special ceremony was recently held in the Ein Kerem neighborhood of Jerusalem, in which the name "Amirim" was given to the neighborhood alert squad, in honor of the two fallen heroes, local residents. The late Amir Lavi grew up in the neighborhood, and Amir Tzur from the Malha neighborhood, but he and his family are planted in the Ein Kerem neighborhood.

Racheli Lavie, mother of Amir Lavi z"l from Ein Kerem, said during the moving ceremony: "Thank you for your thought and attention and especially thank you for your work for society as a whole and the Ein Kerem community in particular. By doing this important work, you are carrying out part of Amir's world of values and continuing his spirit."

Tomer Tzur, brother of the late Amir Tzur, said: "Since that Shabbat, in the midst of all the darkness, these memorial events have been a bright spot for our family. After all that has been said here about the two emirs, I would like to hope that your alert squad in Ein Kerem will also rise to the heights of excellence, quality and high achievements."

The initiator of the activity is Ya'ala Biton de Lange of the Jerusalem Union, who lost her nephew, SWAT fighter Jurai Cohen on October 7, worked hard to commemorate the two young residents of Jerusalem and organized the ceremony in the presence of family members, police personnel and members of the alert squad. Yaala Biton de Lange, No. 2 on the list of the Jerusalem Union, led by Yossi Havilio, said: "The memory of two of our best sons, Amir and Amir, is natural to commemorate in the framework of social and security activities, which combine giving and volunteering, excellence and sacrifice."
