The title has already been removed from Apple and Google's mobile stores, and online purchases can no longer be made through it, and on April 8 it will come to full life. In an official statement, the 43-year-old reality TV star and entrepreneur (and more recently actress) said the following farewell remarks: "I thank from the bottom of my heart everyone who loved and played in 'Kim Kardashian: Hollywood' over the past 10 years. This journey meant a lot to me, but I realized it was time to focus my energy on other passions.

"I would like to thank the Glu team and all the people behind the scenes who worked diligently to make the game a success. The community we built together will inspire me forever."

Players currently running the game receive a notification screen stating that the sun will set on Hollywood for the last time in about three months, and that the virtual money they have accumulated so far in the game will be available for use until this April 8.

For those less familiar with the addictive smartphone hit, "Kim Kardashian: Hollywood" presented actors with the ultimate goal, at least for the ambitious Mrs. Kardashian: to become top-notch celebrities and improve their Hollywood status through a variety of activities, such as modeling, acting in movies, going clubbing and going on hot dates. Success in these glamorous activities allowed players to gain more fans; More fans have upgraded the bar of glamour – and so on. Just like in the real world, isn't it?

Although the game itself was free, gamers were given the option to purchase clothes, accessories, and other essentials for real money, or alternatively watch commercials to accumulate virtual money called, appropriately, K-Stars.

Within just five days of its release on June 27, 2014, the game grossed $1.6 million and easily topped the download charts of mobile stores. Although its popularity has declined over the years, it has been reported that the title has generated nearly $100 million in revenue, with Kim herself pocketing about half of that amount. Indeed a worthwhile investment.
