Europa-Park made headlines last year with unpleasant news, among other things. In June, for example, there was a fire in the "Magic World of Diamonds". A few months later, several people were injured in an accident at a show. In the meantime, improvements and new attractions have been worked on. Park boss Roland Mack told the German Press Agency (dpa, as of January 2024) that the damaged "Alpenexpress Enzian" would be repaired: "We're getting a completely new roller coaster."

The other new roller coaster "Voltron Nevera powerd by Rimac" is targeted for the start of the 2024 season. In an interview with dpa, Mack warns of possible supply bottlenecks for electronic parts. The "Voltron Nevera" is about 1.4 kilometers long. Adrenaline enthusiasts will experience reversing, rollovers and strong accelerations.

At the same time, according to the company, work is being done on the safety of the amusement park. "We want to massively retrofit the ghost train once again in order to further limit the risks. This is an initiative that comes from us," Mack told dpa.

Adrenaline lovers will have to dig deeper into their pockets

At the start of the season on March 23, 2024, amusement park visitors will have to prepare for more expensive tickets. According to dpa, prices have risen by about seven percent. A standard day ticket costs (depending on the day of the week) between 61.50 euros and 69.50 euros.
