In recent weeks, the forces of the 98th Division, which are fighting in the Khan Yunis area, have eliminated many terrorists and hit terrorist infrastructure above and below ground. As part of the activity, the combat teams of the 4th Brigade and the 55th Brigade eliminated many terrorists in the northern and eastern battalions of the Khan Yunis Brigade and significantly impaired the competence of the command and control systems of the Hamas terrorist organization in the area.
Among the infrastructures neutralized by the 4th Brigade combat team, a shaft leading to an underground route hundreds of meters long was located and neutralized, where terrorists from the Nukhba force that came to reinforce the Khan Yunis Brigade terrorists were staying. When the route was destroyed, five Nukhba terrorists surrendered themselves to a force from the 55th Brigade Combat Team operating in the area. During interrogation on the ground, the terrorists testified that as a result of underground attacks by fighters of the 4th Brigade's combat team, many terrorists were killed, including two company commanders in the northern and eastern battalions of the Khan Yunis Brigade.

"At 07.10 we showed up even before we received an order and fought in the village of Gaza for two days against terrorists," said 55th Brigade Commander Col. Oded Ziman. "After we finished, we went up to Northern Command for a month, where we carried out defensive and offensive activity. A month later, we went south and entered the ground maneuver in the southern Gaza Strip. The cooperation between the air force and the ground forces is extraordinary, as a brigade commander I never dreamed of such good and quick cooperation. Just this morning I needed to activate fire, and within two minutes a helicopter joined me and we activated a relevant missile together. The reservists left everything and came to fight for their homes with a dedication the likes of which I have never seen, they are determined to continue forward as long as necessary."

"The enemy is determined and trying to tail us," said 4th Brigade Commander Miki Sharvit. "We meet with squads that are trying to strike from an underground medium. There is no innocent infrastructure here, we encounter terror in almost every home, in hospitals and schools.Our forces even eliminated terrorists who came up from an underground medium in a school."
"A lot of the intelligence that leads us is combat intelligence that emerges through friction on the ground. In one of the division's operations, we understood through friction that there was a space with terror shafts. After an intelligence inquiry, we operated in the same shafts, and later it turned out that we had killed about 20 terrorists and a company commander. In addition, several terrorists were apprehended, and during the interrogation they provided significant intelligence."
