A husband and wife (60 and 64) were arrested Wednesday night on suspicion of abusing helpless minors, after the Tiberias police received a complaint about violence against toddlers in a kindergarten in the city.
Upon receipt of the complaint, an investigation was opened and this morning the two were remanded in custody at a hearing in the Tiberias Magistrate's Court.
The Israel Police views abuse of minors or helpless people with severity, particularly by those entrusted with responsibility for their well-being. Abuse of toddlers who are unable to defend themselves or report their distress is even worse, and the Israel Police will act vigorously to bring those responsible to justice.
