Twin brothers Ezra and Ezekiel were born on a completely different day, month and year, all due to a 40-minute difference in birth. Couple Billy and Eve Humphrey arrived at the hospital in New Jersey on the evening of December 31, 2023 knowing they were going to give birth to twins. Ezra, the eldest baby, was born on December 31, 12 at 2023:23 p.m., with his twin brother Yehezkel, born at 48:00 a.m., arriving forty minutes later, making the birth extremely rare.
The couple claimed that following the incident, their children already had their own personalities. "I think it's going to be hard for them to convince people that they're twins," Eve said. "They'll ask when your birthday is. One will say that he was born in December, that second in January. When they say they're twins, people will immediately think they're lying." It was even a shock for the nurses at the hospital. "It's very strange," said Sandy Palowski, the nurse who handled the special birth. "We have many twins who were born here, but what happened here I have never seen before."

But if the situation wasn't uncommon so far, it didn't stop there, when it was revealed that baby Ezra shares the same date of birth with his father Billy, who was also born on January 1. The twins also have an older brother named Hezekiah, who celebrated his third birthday just two days apart on January 3. On top of that, mother Eve was also born in December.
Eve, a biology professor, and Billy, who works as a priest, continued the theme of biblical names for their children, so there is no Israeli connection in the story. After this birth, they had already decided that there was no intention of adding more children to the family.
