Two indictments will be filed Thursday against rioters who threw stones at police forces in Wadi Joz last month. The two were detained by undercover Border Police officers in Jerusalem and district police, interrogated in the central unit, and additional indictments are expected soon.
The suspects, some of whom were masked, threw stones at police forces operating in the area, and at one point blocked a road with a garbage can, which they dragged to the scene. There were no casualties among the troops. In the days following the disturbance, detectives arrested a number of additional suspects, and a police investigation revealed that one of them was suspected of involvement in other disturbances that took place in recent months.
This past week the interrogation of two of the suspects (18 years old, residents of Wadi Joz) was completed. Their detention has been extended from time to time, and a prosecutor's statement was filed against them earlier this week. Today, as stated, the State Prosecutor's Office is expected to file an indictment against them.
