The project emerged after the riots last June. This Thursday, twelve young Catholics from working-class parishes in the Yvelines,


They left Rome with stars in their eyes. That's it: Angeline, Cléa, Luka and Dylan have seen the Pope! Along with eight other young people from Sarcelles (Val-d'Oise), Bondy and La Courneuve (Seine-Saint-Denis), these four students living in Trappes (Yvelines) were received at the Vatican on Thursday morning in a private audience.

It was a "memorable and exceptional" moment for these young Catholics, all of whom came from working-class parishes. Promoted to "spokesperson of the cities of France" after a draw among the volunteers, their mission was to relay their view of the French suburbs, one-on-one with Pope Francis.
