Region - Due to the weather of the past few weeks and the predicted snowfall, the Weilheim water management office warns of storm damage - riverside paths with trees should not be entered.
Fallen trees and broken branches - due to the heavy snowfall in December 2023 and the storms of recent weeks, there was always damage to trees. The consequences can also be seen along the waters. Since snowfall is forecast for the coming days, the danger still exists, according to the Weilheim water management office.
The authority therefore warns against entering riverside paths and trails where trees stand until further notice and advises against the use of these paths. This applies to the entire administrative area (districts of Weilheim-Schongau, Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen, Landsberg am Lech, Starnberg, and Garmisch-Partenkirchen).
Pay attention to barriers
The river masters are removing endangered trees and branches as much as possible, but it could be several days before all danger spots are removed, the office said. It is essential to observe barriers that have been put in place.
