Accordingly, the existing contracts for the headquarters of Signa Holding in Vienna's Palais Harrach will be terminated and the furnishings will be auctioned off to the highest bidders: more than 460 objects will go under the hammer in the first three auctions. The awards are to be made from 19 January. The building must then be vacated by the beginning of March.

For example, an oversized, leather-clad presidential table with space for around 20 people is listed – with a matching design pendant lamp and matching design office chairs. In addition, there is a custom-made room divider in marble finish, the new price of which was around 60,000 euros, according to Aurena.

In addition to numerous designer furniture, office supplies are also available for purchase. Also going under the hammer is the furnishing of the office of ex-Signa manager Claus Stadler, as well as the equipment of numerous other workplaces and three e-city bikes. The hammer prices will take place on January 19, 2024 and February 2, 2024, respectively, according to the auction house Aurena. If you want, you can bid now. The auction is also open to private individuals.

René Benko's real estate and retail empire has collapsed

Benko's real estate and retail empire collapsed at the end of the year. The most important parts of the Signa real estate and retail group built up by Benko are also insolvent. Last week, the luxury real estate unit Signa Prime (KaDeWE, Elbtower) and the real estate development company Signa Development filed for insolvency. Benko's network of companies, which also includes the Galeria Karstadt Kaufhof department store group, has faltered due to increased interest rates, construction costs and energy prices.
