In the last few hours, Javier Belgeri, the actor who played Nico in Brigada Cola, the popular action series of the nineties, was caught stealing from a supermarket of the Dia chain in the northern area of the Conurbano in broad daylight.

In the images, which were shown by Desayuno Americano (America, Monday to Friday at 10:30 a.m.), you can see how the security camerascaptured the exact moment when Javier enters the store pretending to be with a gun in one of his hands.

After suspiciously prowling the shelves, the actor faces the exit door and two people run from behind, chasing him, after realizing that he had stolen some products.

This is not the first time that the young man has been involved in a crime of this nature. In fact, he had already been arrested for robbing a gym in the General San Martín district.

"This happened at 11 a.m. on the 5th. Nico, from Brigada Cola, who steals from a supermarket. He can be seen pretending to have a gun. It will surely be investigated whether he was armed or not. It's caught on camera. He has already been involved in police acts and addictions that lead him to commit crimes unfortunately," they warned in the series hosted by Pamela David.

Javier Belgeri's relentless fight against addictions

At the beginning of last year, Javier Belgeri was a guest on "Seres Libres", the program hosted by Gastón Pauls on Crónica TV, where he spoke in detail about his addictions. In that sense, he said that he began that winding path with alcohol when he was just 13 years old.

"I hit it hard. That was a door that opened, physically or spiritually, for me to go directly nonstop to cocaine," he said in the interview. "The mambo was to feel that adrenaline of believing myself to be the lion and talking, I felt more lucid. I was 14. And at 15 I was already sunk in a sea of cocaine that didn't end up killing me because I think it was the hand of God," he explained.

He added: "I had hallucinations. In a room, covered and lying down, I saw rats that looked at me with illuminated eyes and left, and I even saw the grim reaper in a reflection. Those things scared me, but I kept going because my body was asking me to. I'd lock myself up just to drink."

"My parents found out that I used alcohol, they punished me, they didn't let me go out for 3 months. Until they kept calling me to do jobs and they had to let me go to work. I didn't consume when I worked, but when I went to a bowling alley or we went to a farm to have a good time...", he said.

And then he exemplified the problems that his addiction brought him at the time he was still working as an actor: "In the middle of the premiere of Brigada Cola, I had to be at 11 in the morning at the rehearsal and at 9 o'clock I was vomiting in a Ramos Mejía nightclub on my cousin's shoulder."

"When Brigada Cola ended, I became friends with one person, I made a music group: 'Los Nicos', but my addiction had spread a lot and I was crucified to this day. I fell into a terrible depression because of the other things I was consuming. I had started using paco. It's very addictive, it's something that seduces you, it's rich, that your body likes and that you get stuck with...", he said, visibly hurt.
