Wolfgang Bahro doesn't let injuries stop him. For RTL, the GZSZ veteran himself stands in front of the camera with crutches.
Cologne – Wolfgang Bahro (63) is a true professional in show business. Since 1993 he has been playing the villain Jo Gerner in "Good Times, Bad Times". As a result, the series star became a TV cult. In the show "40 Years of RTL – The Big Anniversary Quiz", the actor should not be missing. However, he shows up there with crutches.
Unintentional balancing act: That's what's behind Wolfgang Bahro's crutch appearance
Just a few months ago, Wolfgang Bahro almost died while on vacation. Shortly afterwards, another mishap happened to the series star, which is why he has to rely on crutches for the recording of "40 Years of RTL – The Big Anniversary Quiz". But what's behind it?
In an interview with RTL, he explained why he had to go into the game injured: "Slipped on wet leaves, did an unwanted split, and then it cracked and that was it," the 63-year-old described matter-of-factly. The whole thing had happened on the football field, as he reported in another interview. Actually, he just wanted to kick the ball back to a couple of boys, but the trochanter – a small bony protrusion on the inside of the femur – was broken.
Despite injury: Wolfgang Bahro turns GZSZ on crutches
Wolfgang Bahro was also in front of the camera for GZSZ despite the restriction. The crutches were unceremoniously included in the series and attributed to his character. "Gerner was injured during a stay abroad and is coming back to Berlin," he told RTL.

At GZSZ, Wolfgang Bahro is a true veteran. So far, there is no exit in sight. Another GZSZ star, on the other hand, rules out a return to the RTL daily soap. Sources used: rtl.de; RTL / "Exclusiv – Das Starmagazin"
