The operation of the fire brigade in the industrial area of Ludwigsfelde is dragging on because of a truck tank with liquefied gas that continues to burn. It could last until Sunday morning, said fire department spokesman Matthias Richter late Saturday afternoon. Specialists from a plant fire brigade from Saxony were expected in the evening. Since the morning, a truck with a liquefied gas tank has been burning. A second tank must be protected, according to the fire department spokesman. The emergency services cooled the vehicles.

Early Saturday morning, there had been an explosion in the industrial park not far from the A10. A tanker truck with liquefied gas is said to have been destroyed.
