Highlights: That's why Helene Fischer's "Atemlos" is sung during police operations. In order to maintain the correct rhythm during chest compressions, even trained staff rely on musical mnemonics. "Breathless through the Night" is wonderfully suitable for finding the right rhythm for resuscitation measures, Philipp Hohenberger assured. "Breathless through Night", the biggest hit of pop queen Helene Fischer, can actually save lives, like a "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" candidate recently revealed to Günther Jauch.

Cologne – As Germany's biggest pop star at the moment, Helene Fischer (39) has achieved almost everything there is to be gained in show business: number one albums, sold-out stadium concerts, her own TV show. The fact that the pop queen indirectly saves lives with one of her hits, on the other hand, was probably known to very few until now. That changed with a "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" candidate on Wednesday evening (3 January).

At first, Günther Jauch (67) was not about Helene Fischer at all. Because in the 4,000-euro question, the motto "Check – Call – Press" should instead be assigned to the corresponding situation: A: Emergency service in the event of a burst pipe, B: Victim of telephone fraudsters, C: First responder in case of cardiac arrest or D: Audience joker at WWM - no problem for candidate Philipp Hohenberger (31). "Of course, that's quite easy," the police officer said happily, and – due to his professional experience – decided on C.

He has already experienced such situations "several times" and has also had to provide help himself: "This happens regularly in Berlin," says the "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" -Candidate. In order to maintain the correct rhythm during chest compressions, even trained staff rely on musical mnemonics, Hohenberger continued: "It sometimes happens more often that you hear police officers or paramedics singing to themselves." Songs with about 100 beats per minute are particularly suitable.

Günther Jauch is amazed: Helene Fischer's "Breathless" saves lives

One song is particularly popular: the disco hit "Stayin' Alive" by the Bee Gees. However, local artists have also made it into the chest compressions repertoire in the meantime: "In the meantime, I've also heard 'Breathless' by Helene Fischer," the young policeman gave an insight into his everyday working life. Günther Jauch reacted rather irritated: "He's struggling for air and then – 'Breathless' ...", the show master was not very convinced.

As a police officer, Philipp Hohenberger knew, of course, that only answer C. could be considered here. Afterwards, the Berliner revealed that Helene Fischer's "Atemlos" is sometimes sung during such assignments. © Screenshot/RTL/RTL+/Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?
