Shimon Riklin, a Channel 14 journalist close to the prime minister, attacked Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday evening for appointing former Supreme Court President Aharon Barak as an Israeli judge in a trial at the International Court of Justice in Harg.

"In his connection with Aharon Barak, I feel a twinge in my heart, that something is happening here that I don't understand, something in my nose that says, 'What's happening here, what's happening here is the great opponent, this is the person who tried the most to topple Netanyahu,'" Riklin said.

"We've been defending Netanyahu for years, calling us 'Bibists,' ruining our lives, you're mouthpieces, you're illegitimate, they're attacking me every day in Tel Aviv, and in the end I get up in the morning and Netanyahu and Aharon Barak are 'besties,' so understand me telling myself what's going on here."
