Yoav Eliassi (The Shadow) posted on his popular Instagram account a screenshot of WhatsApp correspondence he conducted with singer Noa Nini, who asked to express her opinion on remarks he wrote last week against her and her fellow artists, who signed a letter calling to fight the "dehumanization of Israelis and Palestinians" and speaking out against the war in Gaza.

"I saw your post on Insta," Nini wrote to Eliassi at the beginning of the written conversation. "Thank you so much truly. Adds to hatred, poison, lying, and incitement. To think for a moment I thought you were human." Eliassi did not remain obliged and attacked back. "You're rude and for what you've done you should be ashamed of yourself. You and your friends, instead of strengthening us, weaken us and make a criminal comparison under the guise of human rights between us and the despicable Nazis. As far as I'm concerned, anyone who signed this letter should not live here and should be stripped of their citizenship."

Nini replied: "Yoav, I'm not going to be dragged where you are. You say things that are baseless and have no connection to reality and facts. I suggested you talk, but you want to be right from where you made it up. You want to be angry and hate." She then invited him to have a conversation anyway, if he wished, noting her private sacrifice for the country. "I'm a Zionist, a patriot, I love Israel and I'm willing to go very far to defend it, and that's exactly what I'm doing. My daughter is a combat soldier and my son volunteers in the reserves. This is the education they received at home. This does not contradict tireless work for peace," she explained.

Although she spoke about her relatives who are being recruited and desperate, it seems that Eliassi did not relent, and remained steadfast in his position. "It's just unbelievable. Instead of saying, 'Sorry, we were wrong,' you continue with excuses and justifications. I very much hope that your children who serve in the IDF will not have to pay the price for your prettiness and irresponsibility," he added. "'Sorry, we were wrong,' that's what you need to say," Nini finally replied.
