President Javier Milei insisted on Sunday on the possibility of implementing Sports Corporations in Argentine football because "investment comes in quickly and it is an easy business" and reaffirmed that Chelsea of England is interested in buying Boca, Racing, Newell's, Lanús and Estudiantes La Plata. In addition, he spoke again about the elections in Boca and assured that he was not "angry" with Juan Román Riquelme, whom he accused of having sent people to insult him when he went to vote at the Bombonera for the opposition list headed by Andrés Ibarra and Mauricio Macr.

"The interesting thing about SADs in football is that investment comes in very quickly. Because it's a very easy business. You don't have to build a huge machine, because building a plant can take you, I don't know, two years. There is the willingness to invest expressed by Chelsea, in the case of wanting to buy Boca, Racing, Newell's, Lanús and Estudiantes," Milei reiterated in dialogue with Radio Mitre, beyond the fact that this alleged interest in some Argentine clubs was spread on social networks by a youtuber and was later denied by sources close to the American owners of the London team.

Milei dismissed the fact that the inclusion of the SADs in the Decree of Necessity and Urgency (DNU) 70/2023 is not imperative: "It is of necessity and urgency. There are Arab groups expecting to invest close to 3 billion dollars and for us. If the increase in savings has a counterpart of investment, the adjustment is less painful, less what activity falls, less what is lost in employment," said the libertarian leader.

"There are Chelsea's intentions, there are the Arabs' intentions and I think it's something that makes an impact quickly," he added.

"I'm a Boca fan and if investment groups come and put a fortune in Boca and that makes Boca always win and River can't win a single game, the question is, where do I sign?" suggested Milei, who also assured that he will respect those clubs that decide to continue as non-profit civil associations

He later referred again to his participation in the elections in Boca last December. "I'm not angry with Riquelme. You know what you're doing and you know the conditions in which you're playing. I knew they were going to send people to insult me, I already knew, I already had the information. For me, it was important to make clear the Argentina we want. Anywhere in the world, if the president of the nation goes and votes, the club should be proud, but Riquelme sent people to insult me," he denounced

"Am I going to be intimidated? Am I going to let myself be squeezed by the president of a football club? I don't think that's right. And he's not going to do it to me. And then a question of loyalty to President Macri. And a matter of gratitude to Martín Palermö. The best moments I spent on the pitch in Boca were with Palermo. And the best moments I experienced off the court were thanks to Martín Palermo. Among other memories, I point out the day of the final with Real Madrid," he concluded.
