Shiran Gad-Saad, a mother of four from Moshav Yachini in the Sdot Negev Regional Council, told Israel Hayom her feelings after Education Minister Yoav Kisch announced on Sunday evening his aspiration to return to school soon. All this hours after a rocket directly hit a house in the moshav, two houses near her home.

"We continue to be evacuated in Jerusalem when it's still not safe to return," Shiran says. "I'm not coming back for another three weeks, except when there's a safe atmosphere. When there is no threat of missiles, there is no threat of terrorists, and my children can go to school unaccompanied, like normal people."

"People are afraid to return, there is no security, there are no education systems, where will we go back? It's not easy. On the 6th of October we were sure it was safe, and it wasn't like that. We'll need a little more than a word. If I go home now, it could be that one of us didn't make it to the safe room on time and was hit by shrapnel."
Recalling the day's events, she said: "I got a call that my house might have been hit, my sense of security was damaged. We need security. We are in favor of the army and believe in it very much, but someone missed it here. The burden of proof is on the army and the government, because saying slogans and statements is very easy.
