In light of the situation, the South Adom logo has also changed, to more reflect the mood and illustrate the hope that exists alongside bereavement.

Doron Ashtan, CEO of Shikma Bashor Tourism: "We are all still pained by the events of October 7, and what is happening in their wake, but it was clear to us and to the partners of South Adom, the Jewish National Fund and Bank Hapoalim that this year, and perhaps more than ever, South Edom must exist, in one form or another. Red South is not just a festival and not just anemones. It is a symbol of pride, continuity and prosperity for every resident of the northern and western Negev.

We receive a lot of encouragement and love from all parts of the country, and also from the world, but the real victory will be to hold South Edom here with us, and to give the businesses of the envelope and the region the reinforcement they need at this time. This is the real flourishing of the area, it is what will give hope to local residents and businesses. We will, of course, act in accordance with the instructions of all the security forces, and we look forward to seeing the people of Israel come to support us, take part in this amazing and exciting project and show everyone that we are still here!"
