According to suspicions, the suspect broke into three vehicles in recent months, some of which stole property. After the break-in, the suspect arrived at the synagogue where the family was praying, with the necklace of their other murdered son (who at the time was considered missing) hanging around his neck. Only when the residents of the house checked afterwards did they notice that their home had been broken into and a lot of property had been stolen.

As part of the police investigation, an arrest warrant was issued against the suspect in court against the suspect who was on the run. Tonight, while Rehovot Station patrol officers were handling a noise incident in a public park, those present were examined, including the suspect. When he realized that they intended to detain him, he began to flee in order to evade them without success, and was arrested by them. Later he was brought by Jerusalem District police officers to the interrogation room at Moriah Station.
