Jewish stand-up comedian Amy Schumer has become the target of death threats in recent days after sharing pro-Israel views on social media. We used ChatGPT to expand on the incident.
A user who identifies himself as Drew Peacock spoke out against her in a thread of posts, in which he expressed an intention to murder and "euthanize" (i.e., euthanasia) Schumer, and even warned her: "Your days are numbered." He even called her misogynistic names and compared her to "Miss Piggy" from The Muppets. His posts, which explicitly violate Policy X, which prohibits users from "threatening, inciting, glorifying, or expressing a desire for violence or harm," have not yet been removed, nearly a day and a half after they were published. This is despite the fact that according to the procedures, the company can remove such posts and even block the account of the person who shared them.

The motive behind Peacock's threats remains unclear, but NewsGeek noted that since the beginning of the war, Schumer has shared several positions of support for Israel in the current war, and that she is just one of several figures considered leftist and who have recently been heavily criticized by their political side for supporting Israel's war in Gaza.
Until now, Schumer was considered one of the more extreme voices on the American left. The stand-up comedian, whose father Chuck is the Democratic majority chairman of the U.S. Senate, is known for her outspoken statements against anyone who dares to disagree with the positions of the progressive faction of the Democratic Party.
