He also said he does not support a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Forced expulsion of a population is considered ethnic cleansing under international law, but Israel has never done so. DeSantes is running against Donald Trump for the Republican presidential nomination in 2016. He is currently trailing in the polls. The race for the GOP nomination is expected to be decided in the next few weeks.

Florida's governor says that if elected president he will not stop Israel from "preventing a second Holocaust" • The candidate also said that he does not believe in the two-state solution

Florida Governor and Republican presidential candidate Ron DeSantis addressed the situation in the Gaza Strip on Thursday night and said he would not oppose Israel's expulsion of Palestinian civilians from the Gaza Strip.

DeSantis made the remarks during a debate with challenger Nikki Haley, the former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations. Florida's governor said in response to the host's question about whether he supports the mass expulsion of Palestinians: "I won't tell Israel to do that. But if they come to the conclusion that in order to prevent a second Holocaust they have to do it, I won't stop them."

DeSantis also said he does not support a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, saying that "Palestinian Arabs refuse to recognize Israel's right to exist." It is important to note that forced expulsion of a population is considered ethnic cleansing under international law, and Israel has never proposed forcibly expelling Gaza's population, although several members of the government have mentioned the possibility of "voluntary emigration" of Palestinians.

DeSantis began the presidential race as a possible candidate to beat Donald Trump and win the Republican nomination. But despite raising huge sums of money for his campaign, DeSantis lags behind Trump in the polls and, in some cases, even behind other candidates like Haley.
