In the station area, in Asnières (Hauts-de-Seine), franchisees are rare. Unlike the city centres of Neuilly, Levallois or Boulogne, where all the major ready-to-wear brands are lined up on the same sidewalk, here, it is the independents who have taken over the place. On this first Saturday of the winter sales, some of them took out their bright red doormats on the sidewalk on which the encouraging message is very clear, namely "I buy in Asnières", with the city's crest.
