The current season of the ZDF series "The Mountain Doctor" is in full swing and promises great excitement in the second episode. However, viewers' opinions about it are divided.
Ellmau – "Bergdoktor" fans have been waiting a long time, but on January 4, the new season of the popular ZDF series finally began. On Thursday, the second episode of the 17th season was broadcast on ZDF. However, viewers' opinions about the new episode are mixed.
Dr. Martin Gruber: The mountain doctor is not fooled
The second episode "Abysses" is about an old acquaintance of Dr. Martin Gruber (Hans Sigl, 54), namely Ina Lechner, played by Maria Simon (47). She is about to marry her fiancé Jan Seidl (Max Woelky, 38), who suddenly suffers neurological deficits.

In a Facebook post, the broadcaster shared a photo from the set in which Dr. Martin Gruber takes care of his patient Jan Seidl. In the comments, however, there are a wide variety of opinions from fans about the episode: "Was a great episode again," writes one viewer. Another says that the second episode was "very exciting".
But not everyone reacts so positively to the new case of the "Mountain Doctor": "Despite all the euphoria expressed here, I unfortunately have to say that this episode is rather one of the worse ones," says one fan. Others also agree with this assertion with disappointment.
