Hours after President Javier Milei questioned on his social networks the actions of the driver of a school bus for running over and killing a dog on public roads in Lanús, the Minister of Security, Patricia Bullrich, reported that the driver was located next to the bus thanks to the rapid deployment of the Argentine Federal Police (PFA).

The head of Security assured on her social network X that "the one who makes them pays for them", along with the photographs of the school bus.

"Yesterday President Javier Milei entrusted me with prosecuting and searching for this driver and the bus that without caring about anything deliberately crushed and killed a dog, violating animal defense laws. We searched for it and found it. In this Argentina, whoever makes them, pays for them," Bullrich posted.

Milei quickly replied to Bullrich and thanked him for the work carried out by PFA officers.

"Thank you very much Patricia Bullrich for your great work. And let's be clear: whoever makes them pays for them," the president said on his X account.

Yesterday President @JMilei entrusted me with prosecuting and searching for this driver and the bus that without a care in mind crushed and killed a dog on purpose, violating animal defense laws. We searched for it and found it.

The shocking video with the driver's cruel attitude caught the attention of the President, who quickly questioned the driver's attitude for running over the animal and leaving it lying in the street. In addition, he asked the authorities to do justice for the cruel act.

Milei's affection for animals and especially for dogs is public knowledge, as she has four dogs of the English Mastiff breed, which have a reserved place at the Quinta de Olivos.

Thank you so much @PatoBullrich for your HUGE job. And let's be clear:

Due to having to build a special space for the dogs, the president's move to Olivos was delayed during the last month, so he had to stay in the Hotel Libertador, reconditioned as his campaign bunker.

The president's pets are named Murray, Milton, Robert and Lucas, all copies of Conan, who passed away in 2017 and left him with a great sentimental memory.

During the presidential campaign, his love for dogs was noticeable, as in his speeches he thanked them and called them "four-legged children", highlighting the value he places on animals in his life.

After his social media campaign, and before traveling to the Davos summit, the President had the good news that security forces were able to find the bus and the man who murdered the animal.

In Argentina, animal abuse is a crime sanctioned by the Penal Code through Law 14.346, which provides for penalties of fifteen days to one year in prison, which, like all those of less than three years, are eligible for release if the convicted person has no previous record.
