Arab media reported on Monday night explosions and sirens in the Irbil area of Iraq. Saudi Arabia's Al-Hadath TV reported that Iranian missiles fell in the area of the American consulate, which is under construction. After a short hour, Iran's Revolutionary Guards announced that they were responsible for the launches and attacked "spy headquarters" and "terrorist groups" in the area with ballistic missiles.
The Maher News Agency reported that the IRGC attacked targets in Iraq and Syria with ballistic missiles. The IRGC confirmed that it had also attacked ISIS sites in Syria.
The incident apparently occurred as a result of the ongoing conflict between Iran's Revolutionary Guards and ISIS. The ISIS terrorist organization claimed responsibility for the combined attack in Iran, in which hundreds of people were killed in the heart of Kerman Province in the south of the country. This is despite accusations leveled by senior Iranian officials in Israel and the United States.
