Just over a year ago, Frank Plasberg handed over his helm at "Hart aber fair" to Louis Klamroth. Today, he sharply criticizes his successor.
Düsseldorf – Last year, Frank Plasberg (66) hosted the political talk show "Hart aber fair" for the last time and then left the helm to Louis Klamroth (34). The farewell came "at the right time" for him, he said in an interview with the media magazine dwdl. Nevertheless, he is now criticizing his successor.

Plasberg and Jürgen Schulte will no longer produce the political talk show "Hart aber fair" with their company in the future. In May, they learned of the WDR's decision. Klamroth had terminated its cooperation with them. "Louis had never talked to us about it before. He went to WDR. The WDR has informed us," explained Schulte. In the future, the programme would be produced by a company newly founded at the time, of which Klamroth was a co-shareholder.

"I swore to myself that I would not call for my successor," Plasberg replied when asked if he was personally disappointed with Klamroth. This has always worked well, "although it's getting harder and harder for me." Recently, there has been hardly any contact with Plasberg's successor. "Since my last show, we've spoken maybe once or twice before we realized: He wants the break," Plasberg said.

He can even understand Klamroth, he admits. "But there's a difference between having to create something new from scratch and having a perfect team that has supported this format and that has adapted to renewal and development together, leaving a team like that behind." He chose even harsher words: "I had to live to be 66 years old to get to know such a superficially friendly person with such an approach."

Plasberg and Schulte, on the other hand, are not angry with the WDR. "It's clear that contracts are finite. That's the deal," the presenter said. This is "completely fair". The next edition of "Hart aber fair" will be broadcast on December 11 at 21:00 p.m. on Das Erste. At the same time, it will be the last to be produced by the company Ansager & Schnipselmann. The aim is to bring the long-standing success story "to an orderly end".
