Postbank and Deutsche Bank will focus more on digital offerings in the future. As a result, the branch network is streamlined.
Fürstenfeldbruck – The first rumours have now circulated that the Postbank on Bahnhofstrasse is one of the branches that will be closed. But the decision has not yet been made.
In view of the advancing digitalization, customer behavior has changed, explains a Postbank spokesperson. People are increasingly using mobile and online services in all age groups and both for banking and advice. Deutsche Bank and Postbank want to position themselves more strongly in the field of digital banking services. This means creating a fully digital range of products and services for both brands, explains the Postbank spokesperson.
More digital and streamlined branch network
In the medium term, Postbank will be developed into a "mobile-first" bank. Everything can be done via mobile phone, tablet and via a streamlined branch network. The Regional Advisory Centers established at Deutsche Bank will also be extended to Postbank private clients.

For this reason, Deutsche Bank plans to gradually reduce the number of Postbank branches from around 550 to around 2026 by mid-300, explains the Postbank spokesperson. Postal and parcel services will continue to be offered at around 200 locations. Deutsche Bank and Post have extended their cooperation agreement.
Nearby services
"Deutsche Post will also offer its customers postal services in their vicinity at locations that will no longer be covered by Postbank branches in the future." At the other 100 locations, customers can receive personal advice on site in the new branch format, which focuses exclusively on banking services.
It has not yet been decided whether the Bruck branch on Bahnhofstrasse will be closed or converted in the future, emphasizes the company spokesman. This is because this is only negotiated with the employee representatives. Imu
