Defying the low temperatures, the election season kicked off in the United States on Monday, with the Iowa Republican caucus. In the coming weeks, decisive primary elections will take place in several states across the country.
The Democratic conventions will follow, where we finally know the candidates of each party. They will face each other in three debates broadcast on national television. The race for the presidency will culminate on November 5 with elections. From there, another stage will begin, the inauguration of the presidency for whoever is elected to lead the White House.
