A woman was run over by a pickup truck in Munich. The fire brigade had to arrive with heavy equipment to free the lady - she was taken to a hospital.
Munich - Serious accident in Laim: A pickup truck ran over a woman on Monday, January 15. According to the Munich Fire Department, several passers-by had reported the accident to the emergency services and described that a vehicle had driven over a woman. A fire engine of the fire brigade as well as an ambulance of an aid organization and an emergency medical vehicle were immediately alerted to the scene. On the spot, it turned out that the lady was still lying underneath the car.

A quick medical check showed that the lady was responsive. Meanwhile, firefighters secured the vehicle and prepared a technical rescue. With lifting bags, which are inflated with compressed air, the vehicle was slowly lifted and secured in parallel with shims, the fire department said in its official report.

Subsequently, the 60-year-old was pulled onto a rescue board and freed from under the vehicle. After further medical care, the ambulance service transported her to the trauma room of a Munich clinic. According to initial assessments, the woman was lucky in the accident and was only moderately injured. For the duration of the rescue work, Agnes-Bernauer-Straße was completely closed. To clarify the cause of the accident, the police are investigating.
