Reggae singer and musician Matisyahu landed in Israel Reggae singer and musician Matisyahu landed in Israel for one concert on January 17, at the Reading 3 club in Tel Aviv.
He begins Monday morning with a tour of the Gaza envelope with the production crew, his wife and son on a delegation from abroad. They came to the party compound in Re'im to hear about the terrible massacre of October 7.
The tour was led by Zaka man Yossi Landau, who saw and went through that black Sabbath and told his shocking and difficult testimony. At one point, Matisyahu stopped Landau and hugged him.
Media personality Yael Zin, who was part of the connection between ZAKA and the singer, continued the tour in English and told the personal stories of some of the murdered.

Since October 7, Matisyahu has appeared at a rally for the return of hostages in Washington, D.C., and has performed on a number of campuses and Jewish centers in the United States. Matisyahu, born Matthew Fuller Miller, burst into global consciousness in 2005 with hits like "King Without A Crown" and "Jerusalem." Until 2011, he was considered a Hasidic reggae singer and incorporated elements of rap, reggae and Jewish music into his work.

About a decade ago, following his repetition of the question, the singer's appearance changed, and his work changed accordingly. Israel continues to be an important part of his creative world. All proceeds from the Redding 3 show will be donated to the Abductees Headquarters.
