The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is a puzzle with historical roots for which there is no solution. It began with the massive arrival of Jews from the end of the 19th century and the rise of Zionism, creating the first tensions in the region. They soon led to armed conflicts, hundreds of thousands of displaced persons, changes in territory and an escalation of violence despite frustrated attempts to find a path to peace.
