Peißenberg – The carnival association "Frohsinn 2000" made a brilliant start to the carnival season on Saturday. Around 200 visitors celebrated together in a festive atmosphere at the Black and White Ball in the Tiefstollenhalle.

A small survey conducted by Frohsinn boss Thomas Rößle in his welcome speech showed that the event attracted an audience far beyond the boundaries of the municipality. Visitors from as far away as Munich and Hallbergmoos had come to dance. Local political celebrities also did not miss the eleventh edition of the gala evening.

However, before the guests were allowed to shake a leg, it was the turn of the guards. They presented this year's marches at the opening. Whether dwarfs, mini-dancers, teens or prince's guard: The girls impressed with sophisticated choreographies including daring lifting figures. Later in the program, the show dances followed.

When it was time for "Alles Walzer", the visitors promptly followed the club directors onto the dance floor. Until 2 o'clock they swam to the sounds of the big band of the miners' band. "The dance floor was packed to the brim until the end," Rößle said happily the day after. The fact that there was no food this time (we reported) did not bother the guests. Thanks to sandwiches, the small hunger was also taken care of. The feedback on the program and the entire process was consistently positive, Rößle reported. He is more than satisfied with the start of the carnival: "Everything worked out excellently."

Now he can hardly wait for the carnival hustle and bustle in Peißenberg to continue. On Sunday, 28 January, the association invites you to the big guard meeting in the Tiefstollenhalle. On Saturday, 3 February, there will be a children's and teen ball and on Thursday, 8 February, the women's carnival.
