On Monday afternoon, 15 January, a fire broke out in the extension of a garage in Gröbenzell on Enzianstraße. The residents of the adjacent house had noticed smoke and alerted the fire brigade.
The fire brigades from Puchheim station, Olching and Gröbenzell opened the wooden cladding in order to extinguish flames and embers. The district fire inspectorate supported the incident management. The emergency services prevented the fire from spreading to the roof truss by using ten SCBAs and 2 C-pipes.
Rescue service and police in action
The living rooms in the house had to be smoke-cleared afterwards. Rescue services and police were also on site. The last of the approximately 40 emergency services moved away after about two hours.
No casualties
The fire brigade is currently unable to provide any information on property damage and the cause of the fire. There were no casualties.
