Not all the fish escaped the raid carried out in the Pablo-Picasso housing estate in Nanterre. Three men were sentenced to between a year and a year and a half in prison at the end of last week.

This judicial episode is a direct consequence of the outbreak of fever that occurred on the first weekend of January in the Pablo-Picasso housing estate in Nanterre. On Saturday, January 6, at around 20 p.m., a series of detonations rang out in the Allée des Demoiselles-d'Avignon, a well-known drug spot in the neighborhood.

A few hours later, after the discovery of several 7.65 caliber shell casings, the scenario was established by the investigators: "we" fired a Kalashnikov at a lookout, a small hand of traffic. An investigation was then opened for attempted murder. End of the first act.

They throw the drugs out the window

At the beginning of the following week, police officers broke into a building in the area. On the upper floors, they intercepted two men who did not have empty pockets: on the first, they seized a bag containing some 340 grams of cannabis resin and a few grams of cocaine. The second one is posted a little higher upstairs, just in front of a deal point.

In an apartment in the same building, the investigators get their hands on some of the logistics essential to the "bizness": packaging equipment and walkie-talkies. A third thief who was in the house at the time tried to get his virginity and threw 500 g of resin, 150 g of weed and 111 g of ecstasy out of the window. These products were immediately recovered by the police at the foot of the building. Faced with the evidence, the latter protagonist admitted the facts.

The trio was arrested, placed in police custody and tried last Friday in immediate appearance at the Nanterre criminal court. While the magistrates imposed probationary periods on the sentences, they issued a warrant of committal for the three defendants.
