On the A95 in the direction of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, a truck tire caught fire on Tuesday morning. Several fire brigades were on site with a large contingent.

Höhenrain - A German car transporter was on the A95 in the direction of Garmisch-Patenkirchen on Tuesday morning when its driver noticed heavy smoke between the Schäftlarn junction and the Höhenrain rest area. The man stopped his truck on the hard shoulder, got out and found that one of the trailer's tires had caught fire.

He immediately made the first attempts to extinguish the fire. The Weilheim traffic police as well as the fire brigades from Berg, Starnberg, Höhenschäftlarn and Neufahrn were on site promptly with a large contingent and quickly extinguished the fire. Both lanes had to be closed for a short time in order to be able to carry out the extinguishing and rescue work safely. PEB
