When asked a “Harry Potter” question, a “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” candidate was completely stumped.

Günther Jauch and the audience had to save.

Hürth – On the way to big money, the most important thing in “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” is to have as much general knowledge as possible.

A candidate had to experience first-hand that Günther Jauch's (67) quiz chair was full of excitement.

After a bumpy start and a lot of support from Günther Jauch, she was in danger of failing because of a supposedly simple “Harry Potter” question.

Harry Potter's best friend Ron makes life difficult for the "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" contestant

It was only at the end of last year that Günther Jauch and a “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” candidate despaired of a “Harry Potter” question.

Now the whole thing seems to be repeating itself.

On January 15, 2024, Yvonne Speckhard is up for 4,000 euros when the moderator asks her a question that she believes she can solve with links.

"Harry Potter's best friend is at least literally always in?" - A: Padua, B: Verona, C: Turin or D: Naples.

For the millionaire candidate it is immediately clear: it has to be Padua.

The reason: “Ron is always in a stalemate.”

Günther Jauch then makes it very clear to her that she is on the wrong track.

The problem: The candidate simply cannot remember the name of Harry Potter's best friend.

The audience joker is needed to create clarity.

With 96 percent of the votes, Verona ultimately came in first place.

Only four percent were infected by the candidate and voted for A.

Then the penny drops for Ms. Speckhard too.

“Ahh, that’s Ron – now I’m getting to it.

Harry Potter's best friend is named Ron.

“Ron Weasley,” she exclaims – and finally decides on VerONa.

Not the first aid: Günther Jauch has to support the candidate beforehand

Because his candidate is visibly excited, Günther Jauch is happy to give her a hand.

The “Harry Potter” question is not the first in which he clearly gives a nod.

“If they start crying, I’ll tell them the right answer,” he jokes, but doesn’t even wait for a crying fit.

Instead, he gives the other person so many tips until the correct answer is actually logged in.

Only a little later, however, the quiz show ends unscheduled - because the NFL was postponed due to a snowstorm in the USA, forcing RTL to make program changes.

“Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?” ends in the middle of the show – although there is a way to watch the quiz show in its entirety.
