The members of the delegation met in Moscow with the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, and in a statement issued by the Russian Foreign Ministry afterwards it was stated that "Russia clarified the need for the immediate release of the citizens who were kidnapped during the Shiva attack in October, including the Russian citizens."

There are three Russian citizens in the custody of Hamas witnesses: Alex Lobnov, Andrey Kozlov and Sasha Tropnov.
