Avri Gilad claims: The picture of victory is in my hands Israel today

2024-01-19T08:46:06.492Z

Highlights: Avri Gilad: Is it really worth stopping the fighting and releasing all the prisoners in exchange for the release of all the kidnapped? Everyone is looking for the winning picture. We want a picture of Sinwar dead, of the abductees getting off the bus safe and sound. And I'm just asking - are our 136 people really worth any price? Confused about it. We have already lost more than one thousand three hundred people in this war. My heart is not rough with the number of abductees.

And you won't believe what you see in it * Is it really worth stopping the fighting and releasing all the prisoners in exchange for the release of all the kidnapped? I'm debating and also: maybe it's worth dividing the earth into two parts - one for the bad and one for the good

Everyone is looking for the winning picture.

In studios, markets, homes.

We want a picture of Sinwar dead, of the abductees getting off the bus safe and sound, of the residents returning to their homes, of Bibi going home.

Everyone has an image that, until it is realized, he will not declare the war successful, as worth the price.

It's amazing how in every war we go through the same thing.

The enemy hurts us, we go to war, we are carried on waves of bombastic announcements of what we will do to him, wai wai wai - then enthusiasm meets reality and the image of victory is replaced by the image of the crying child.

Then the commentators tell us how much we have failed, how much the blood we shed was unnecessary, and our enemies rejoice and gloat and declare their victory based on our admission of our downfall.

Again and again.

we won

We have already won, big time.

That's how I see it.

I declare victory like the enemies do, after all, no matter what happens, they are in victory dances.

It's not a bad method, really.

First we state a fact - I won.

Then you find why it is true.

And there are no shortage of reasons.

If you think about what they planned for us versus what actually happened, we won.

If you see what happened to the company in Israel, it is clear that we won.

We defeated ourselves, and it is no less complex than defeating the enemy, because we are our greatest enemy.

I am driven crazy by the experts who set conditions that until they are not realized - we are a failure.

They serve the victory to the enemy on a platter of empty words, of murky and disgusting soul currents with which they always work, and never give up.

"One should say honestly" - this is the beginning of the sentence followed by the so-called admission of the great loss.

And I always shut them in the face, and continue to think that I am winning, in the war, and especially winning over my life, without help from detractors of all kinds.

I don't have any image that I can be disappointed about that wasn't fully realized.

I know - those who draw pictures are depressing, because every painted picture is an attempt to predict the future based on past experiences, on the basis of my dreams and desires, and the future never behaves the way you want it to.

So what - not to set goals?

Do not announce goals?

You can, but don't depend everything on their fulfillment.

Every day and its goal, every hour and its goal, small steps and not big dreams.

We are here, we hijacked and united Bomba to the front, we got up, we continue.

We won, as always.

We are a nation of winners.

with eternity, no?

abducted

This week I had the chance to speak with MK Miki Levy, who gave very emotional speeches for the release of the abductees, as you must have seen, demanding release at all costs now and immediately. On an emotional level, of course, I connected very much. Everything must be given, including the cessation of hostilities. Not a ceasefire. Stopping the war.

I don't have a clear opinion.

Can't predict futures.

But this determination bothers me.

Stopping the war for the sake of our loved ones is an extreme and very dangerous step.

And that's not all of course.

Also the release of all their prisoners until the last one, including the fresh ones from the seven in October.

And I'm just asking - are our 136 people really worth any price?

Confused about it.

We have already lost more than one thousand three hundred people in this war.

My heart is not rough with the number of abductees, which is ten percent of the number of losses, each person is a full world, and yet, proportions.

The question I ask myself and find difficult to answer is whether for ten percent of those who perished it is worth making a move that with almost absolute certainty will one day lead to another such round, as they promise, and I believe their promises, down to the last comma.

Is it moral to save civilians and soldiers now for a future payment in a larger number of our people, who do not yet know that their fate is decided sometime in the future.

Because if the fighting stops, then Hamas will be restored.

War, as they say with us, leave it for a day, leave you for two days.

It will not really be possible to renew it, and whoever says it is, is wrong and misleading.

And they have the motivation, the financial support, the moral support, the never-ending fertility, and within a decade they will be ready to strike again.

And we, with an appetite for comfort, will forget even though we say we never will, and once again we will think that it is possible to relax our vigilance, and reduce our forces, because it is so expensive to be on alert all the time.

And the emergency rooms will again be emptied of their contents, and the teachers will be fired, and the whole movie will be shown again on a giant screen.

And so, I'm just asking if the return of the abductees is indeed the first goal, or if we should continue with the great mission, to get to know Hamas, and hope that along the way, in some purified tunnel, we will find them all, safe and sound, and return them to us.

And again, I don't have a son or daughter there, which is a difficulty on the one hand, and an advantage on the other, because emotionality is an important human dimension, but calmness and detachment are no less necessary qualities, especially when we are fighting for the future of our lives here, in the den of vipers we have chosen for our home.

May we get to see them soon, and may we get to see their captors hanging on a tall tree, enjoying the light breeze.

Amen.

Truth

The Russians say - flooding the tunnels in Gaza is like genocide.

These Ukrainian genocidaires, who know no bounds to what they do to other peoples, including the Syrian, Chechen, Afghan, Georgian and other diverse peoples all over the world, call for our specific, just and creative activity against those who seek our lives for genocide.

They also say that the attack by the coalition forces against the Houthis is against international law, and the Houthis themselves, who have sharpened their swords for missiles, say that the attack will not go unpunished, as if it came without context, in a vacuum, without a preceding attack.

What I am actually saying here is that the division in the world that we see before our eyes has eliminated the concept of truth.

There is no more truth at all, only interests.

There is not even a need to maintain a tenuous connection to what is true, to what is clear to every eye and every heart.

You can say anything, and there is half the world that will buy it immediately.

And in the other half, to which we somehow belong, there will still be quite a few who will embrace anything vain, because they are vain.

The truth is, I don't have the strength to live in a world without truth.

In our sources we call this world, the material world, Alma Deshikra.

This is a world where there is a consciousness of separateness and not a consciousness of unity which is the infinite truth that we are unable to contain in our physical existence.

But we won't go that far.

The current Alma Deshikra is a sad, discouraging world, a world where it doesn't matter how good you are, how much you improve yourself, it doesn't really matter because the lie is the ruler, and getting closer to the truth doesn't count at all.

Living in a world of lies is an existence that I at least struggle to accept, so I thought of a solution.

two worlds

we will share

will be cut

We will saw the ball in half, it will be a little warm around the core but we will overcome.

Elon Musk will invent something already.

We will work hard for a few years, and in the end the halves will separate - each hemisphere goes its own way.

I can already see in my overdeveloped imagination the day when the last band of bleached iron binding the two halves is severed.

Huge parties in both halves of the sphere, and slowly each half goes on its independent journey in space, begins to spin on its own and regain a spherical shape, only smaller.

How pleasant it would be to see the Russians, the Chinese, the Arabs, the Persians, the North Koreans, and a selection of other mischievous nations sailing their way through space.

Willing to give them even the moon, just to let them go.

And we will stay in our half, with all the Western anti-Semites.

what a relief.
