Practically from day one, Dr.

Bob as the secret audience favorite in the jungle camp.

But how long will the 73-year-old “I’m a Star – Get Me Out of Here!” last?

Murwillumbah - When "I'm a Star - Get Me Out of Here!" (IBES) premiered on January 9, 2004, no one could have guessed how long the disgusting reality show would stay on the recurring RTL program.

Two stars have been loyal to the jungle camp since its early days: presenter Sonja Zietlow (55) and viewer favorite Dr.

Bob (73), who has always been there to help and advise celebrities before the jungle tests.

But for how much longer?

Jungle camp favorite Dr.

Bob was about to burn out

This year too, the twelve jungle camp candidates can rely on the expertise of Bob McCarron aka Dr.

Bob left.

The trained paramedic, wildlife biologist and make-up artist has been cheering up the stars at IBES for 20 years before their disgusting tasks with almost fatherly encouragement, warns of any dangers and reminds the participants at the end of his speech, usually with a grin, to please wear their protective goggles.

RTL viewers recently took the London-born multi-talent to their hearts.

A jungle camp without Dr.

Bob?

Unthinkable!

And yet it could happen one day.

The 73-year-old recently had to slow down, as he recently revealed on RTL: “I was on the verge of burnout a few years ago.

I worked on the English and German jungle squadrons.” He then “listened to his heart”, concentrated exclusively on German production and “changed his way of life”.

Dr.

Bob wants to stay at the jungle camp for at least 20 years

For the jungle camp fans, these decisions are a reason to be happy.

Because it seems that Dr.

Bob’s RTL pension is still in the distant future: “I feel really, really fit.

So I'll just say this: I don't want to stop here or retire before I'm 94!

However, if I have to be wheeled into the picture in a wheelchair, I will stop.”

Bob is a true jungle camp veteran: Since 2004 he has been an integral part of “I’m a Star – Get Me Out of Here!” – and has become a viewer favorite.

To keep himself young, the Australian relies on “lots of exercise” and “healthy eating”.

Strict rules also applied to the IBES celebrities before they moved out: each jungle camp star was given their own bodyguard in advance.
