The nine EH Bildu deputies in the Parliament of Navarra will abstain from voting on the regional Budgets for this 2024 financial year, which guarantees that they will move forward.

EH Bildu has participated - just like last year - in the preparation of the preliminary draft Budget and, with the pact announced this Friday, the four groups commit to supporting each other in the debate on amendments that will take place in the Navarrese Parliament in the upcoming weeks.
The provincial Government approved the draft bill today in an extraordinary session and now the processing in the Chamber begins.
Parliament is scheduled to approve the accounts on March 7.
The negotiation between the Chivite Government and EH Bildu concluded just a few minutes before the Minister of Economy and Finance, José Luis Arasti, appeared before the media in Parliament.
It was the chronicle of an announced agreement.
Arasti has said that there have been certain obstacles that have been difficult to overcome, but he has not clarified which ones: “I believe that negotiations reach a successful conclusion when there is discretion and I believe that it is better that any discrepancies that may exist are maintained in the context of the negotiation.” ”, he has settled.
It is a “satisfactory” pact also for the Abertzale coalition, according to its spokesperson Laura Aznal, who has pointed out that, in aspects such as the reinforcement of public services or certain advances in social matters, they have proposed “a vision of the legislature.”
The Budget reaches the global figure of 6,355.4 million euros, 9.2% more than last year.
Councilor Arasti has stressed that 51.4% will be allocated to health, education or social rights.
The Executive has accepted all the proposals that EH Bildu has formulated during the preparation of the preliminary project and which have affected items from all departments.
Among them, the reinforcement of the Home Care Service in Navarra, the creation of a new system of care for the homeless or the equalization of salaries in the education cycle from 0 to 3 years.
A total of 225,000 euros will be allocated to moving towards free teaching of Basque to adults, and around 350,000 euros will be allocated to promoting the presence of this language in the media.
With regard to the energy transition processes, the Government and EH Bildu have agreed that the Executive allocate one million euros to promote the creation of energy communities and make the “necessary legal modifications” to protect small businesses in public calls. of subsidies.
Apart from these issues, EH Bildu may include more modifications to the budget during parliamentary processing;
To this end, the Government has enabled credits worth 4.42 million euros to finance issues that include the hypothetical partial amendments of the
Abertzale
coalition .
The four formations that have signed the agreement undertake to vote in favor of the amendments that all of them present and to vote against those that they have not previously signed, unless they decide otherwise unanimously.
The spokesperson for EH Bildu has stressed that the most important thing for its formation is the political commitments acquired by the Executive.
Among them, “the creation of a study commission to propose tax reforms for 2025;
provide a solution to the mutualists' demands;
and the creation of a working group to guarantee pensioners a minimum income of 1,080 euros per month in 2025.”
She has also celebrated the commitment to carry out a study that analyzes patient referrals to private healthcare and allows them to be reduced by at least 5% annually.
EH Bildu aspires to reach agreements with the Government of Navarra that go beyond a budget pact.
