The Ministry of Agriculture announced Friday that the State would reimburse breeders 80% of the costs of veterinary care linked to epizootic hemorrhagic disease (EMD) and that it would compensate them up to 80% in the event of death of the 'animal.

“In accordance with the commitments made by the Minister responsible for Agriculture, the State will reimburse 80% of the costs of veterinary care and will compensate up to 80% of dead animals for all outbreaks observed until December 31, 2023,” the ministry said in a press release, following a meeting with sector players.

“Breeders will be able to submit their compensation files from the beginning of February,” it is specified in the press release.
