Airparif in fact predicts a "probable exceeding of the information and recommendation threshold set at 50µg/m3", adding that Météo France's forecasts are not favorable to optimal dispersion of pollutants in the air.
Consequently, the police headquarters recommends that Ile-de-France residents postpone, as far as possible, their road trips in the region.
The least polluting vehicles are preferred for the day, as well as public transport or even carpooling.
Slow down on the roads
The system of recommendations put in place by Laurent Nuñez, police prefect, also provides for a reduction in the speed of people who have no other choice than to borrow their personal vehicle.
Thus, it is strongly recommended to drive at 110km/h on motorways instead of 130km/h, 90km/h for portions usually limited to 110km/h, and 70km/h for axes at 80 or 90km/h in time. normal.
Teleworking is also encouraged.
As for the heating and energy production dimension, the PP recommends in particular avoiding the use of “wood for recreational or additional heating” and lowering the temperature of the rooms.
