Kate Middleton had to undergo serious abdominal surgery.
The mother of three is now recovering from the strain of the procedure in the exclusive London Clinic.
London – Worrying news from the British royal family.
As Kensington Palace announced, Kate Middleton (42) had to have “planned abdominal surgery” on January 16th.
The palace said the procedure was successful, although Princess Kate will remain in hospital for "ten to fourteen days before returning home to continue her recovery," according to the statement.

While nothing has been announced about the exact reasons for the operation, Prince William's wife (41) will have to take it easy for a long time after the procedure.
“According to current medical assessments, she will probably only be able to fulfill her public obligations again after Easter,” said the official statement.
Princess Kate is now supposed to recover in the famous London Clinic.
Other members of the British royal family have also been treated there in the past, including Princess Margaret (71, † 2002) and Prince Philip (99, † 2021).
Since it became known that the Princess of Wales was being treated here, the entrance to the London Clinic has been guarded by police.
