The Lazio Regional Council, on the proposal of the Councilor for Work, University, School, Training, Research and Merit, Giuseppe Schiboni, approved the formalization for the Lazio Region's adhesion to the national experimentation project relating to the establishment of the technological-professional training chain in implementation of the provisions of the decree of the Ministry of Education and Merit of 7 December 2023.
A four-year project that will allow the creation of a new chain, starting from the 2024-2025 school year, which will constitute both educational paths and professional and higher technical training.
Some professional figures in training, such as: the wellness operator, the hairdressing technician and the beauty treatment technician, will not be admitted to the experimentation, because they do not correspond to the directions of professional education and continuity in the technological areas of Its Academy.
Recent statistical reports - the Region announces - report a serious imbalance between the needs expressed by the production system and the skills actually possessed by those who must access the world of work.
The result is a lack of availability of professional figures with the right skills which must be overcome.
"Participation in the trial will make it possible to improve the training path of the students, reducing the time needed for graduates to enter the world of work and allowing the gap currently existing between supply and demand for work to be bridged by offering the appropriate responses to the territories, citizens and businesses - he declared Councilor Giuseppe Schiboni - In fact, a close connection between the world of business and that of education and training is essential if we intend to increase employment and give our children a more certain future".
