Defense Cabinet member Minister Gideon Sa'ar revealed today (Friday) during the "Culture Friday" conference Hamas' conditions for the return of the abductees:

"I don't know if everyone knows this, but they want us to withdraw from the entire Gaza Strip, including the security zone in the east and north of the Gaza Strip," he said.

"In addition, there are demands to stop the war, to give international guarantees that we will not return to war and to release from our prisons all the terrorists, including those caught on the seventh of October."

"Of course we won't agree because we have to go back to living in the area," said the minister regarding their conditions.

"They murdered and raped and did everything we know they did, you can't go back."

In the background of the words of the US National Security Council spokesman, John Kirby, who hinted at an impending deal for the release of hostages, an Israeli official said yesterday that the talk of "advanced talks on a new hostage deal" is not wrong.

According to the senior official, the efforts to reach a deal continue all the time and there is even a shift in relation to the situation where things stood last week.

However, the source says, the Israeli assessment of the likelihood of such a deal being reached is lower and more cautious than the Americans'.

About 150 demonstrators from the families of the murdered and kidnapped held a protest today near the Knesset calling for a change of government and elections.

On top of that, the protestors blocked Ayalon yesterday during the cabinet meeting as a protest for the release of their loved ones.

They burned the number 136 on the road - representing the number of abductees remaining in captivity.
