In order to enrich himself with the authorities' money, the 41-year-old, who is himself a Ukrainian citizen, herded the refugees together.

According to the public prosecutor's office, several Ukrainians were accommodated in one room.

But they had each signed their own rental agreement for their own room.

A family of five also had to share a room.

The tenant billed the authorities several times for each rented room.

Search warrant for hotel in Inzell: large-scale police operation

In a spectacular large-scale operation, the police arrested the suspects on January 11th.

The officers went to the hotel in Inzell in the early hours of the morning with a few dozen emergency services.
