Fürstenfeldbruck/Munich - Due to significant road damage on the A99 motorway ring between the Ludwigsfeld junction and the Munich-Feldmoching motorway triangle, the right lane had to be closed for safety reasons.

The reason for the damage to the road is the very pronounced change this year between frost and thaw in conjunction with the freezing rain.
Due to the closure of the right lane, significant traffic disruptions are to be expected in the direction of Salzburg with backlogs across the Eschenrieder Spange onto the A8 and beyond the Aubinger Tunnel, according to a statement on Friday.
The Southern Bavaria Motorway therefore recommends avoiding unnecessary journeys, checking alternative means of transport and planning sufficient time reserves.
Emergency renovation planned for January 24th
A short-term emergency renovation is being prepared in close cooperation with the construction industry, according to Autobahn GmbH.
Since all asphalt mixing plants are currently out of operation due to winter maintenance and the necessary construction machinery must first be made available, the emergency renovation can only be carried out next Wednesday, January 24th and the lane can then be reopened.
The current weather report announces a suitable ambient temperature of ten degrees for asphalt paving on January 24th, according to Autobahn GmbH.
Large-scale renovation in spring
If the weather and temperature are suitable in the spring, the area will be renovated over a large area (around 50,000 square meters).
The renovation of the roadway was planned anyway and will be brought forward, according to Autobahn GmbH.
