The session was probably longer than expected: one passenger had to involuntarily spend the entire hour-long flight in the airplane toilet.
Mumbai - A passenger received a downgrade on a Spice Jet airline flight that he probably wasn't expecting.
For almost the entire flight from Mumbai to Bengaluru, with a flight time of one hour and 45 minutes, a passenger was locked in the aircraft toilet.
The airline confirmed the unfortunate incident and stated that the passenger was stuck on the toilet for about an hour.
Incidents during a flight are not uncommon; recently a pilot accidentally flew to the wrong holiday island.

Unpleasant downgrade: Why was the passenger locked in the airplane toilet?
According to a report by the news service
Indian Express,
a passenger just wanted to use the toilet immediately after taking off an overnight flight from Mumbai to Bengaluru.
He was then unable to exit the toilet due to a malfunction, which resulted in the passenger being locked in the toilet for almost the entire flight.
In order to communicate with the passenger, the crew resignedly pushed a note under the door: “Sir, we tried our best to open the door, but we couldn't.” The employees further asked the passenger to remain calm to preserve.
"No panic.
We are landing in a few minutes, so please close the toilet lid and sit on it.
As soon as the main door is open, an engineer will come.”
At another Indian airline, passengers witnessed an unusual incident where water leaked from the ceiling during the flight.
Airline apologizes to passenger after toilet debacle
When we landed, the toilet use ended as two technicians came on board, broke open the door and finally freed the passenger.
The Indian airline has officially apologized for the inconvenience and has since assured the passenger full compensation for his unusual seat.
